4.00pm – 6.00pm The Unheard 2026 · Journey HomeSome stories are carried quietly.
Journey Home brings together lived experience, creative expression and community voices to explore what it means to be heard, to feel safe, and to find a way back towards connection. The experience reflects the continuing work of Project Green Ribbon and Counselling and Care Centre alongside young people, families and the wider community.
There were moments I felt unanchored. I didn’t know who I was or what home meant.
I kept looking for belonging out there, in people, in places. Until I realised, home isn’t a building. It’s not a passport or a language. It’s not even a place.
Home is me. It’s a version of me that feels connected to something higher. It’s the part of me that always knew, this world is a game. These borders are a distraction. And our souls already know the way home.
Maybe we’re not meant to belong to just one place. Maybe we’re meant to evolve. And once you belong to yourself, you belong everywhere.
Maybe home isn’t something you find. Maybe it’s something you become.
Stories that might otherwise remain unseen.
Selected anonymous stories and reflections will invite visitors into experiences that are often difficult to say aloud.
When words are not enough.
A curated selection of art, writing, photography and other creative work will make space for different ways of being seen and heard.
A story of listening, support and belonging.
The exhibition connects the journey of The Unheard with the work of Project Green Ribbon, Green Hearth and community-based support.
The Listening Table
Not networking. Conversation.
As part of Journey Home, guests will gather around carefully curated tables designed for conversations that would not ordinarily happen in the same room.
Be part of The Unheard
Your story may help someone else feel less alone.
The Unheard continues beyond one event. Stories and creative work can be submitted for consideration through our Creative Expression platform. Every submission is reviewed before anything is published or featured.
The Unheard 2026 · Journey Home
Because when
someone listens,
something can begin.
Journey Home is presented by Project Green Ribbon and Counselling and Care Centre , bringing together lived experience, community support and the belief that earlier listening can change what happens next.
